TENTS

What to look for when buying a tent

Camping is the most excited and adventurous activity .So lots of people love to go for camping and obviously you have to select the most suitable tent for that to avoid any complication .When you go to buy a new camping tent, look for features that will let you enjoy the use of that tent for many up coming years .You should know your budget and ahead time to spend ,it will help to analyze the necessary features of camping tent in that price range. Tents of all shapes, weight and sizes are available in the market but it is important that you have some idea of what you need before buying for a single piece.

Important and considerable features for buying a camping Tent:
• The most important part is the Tent Capacity which is in square feet and how many standard sleeping bags will fill in it. For example 2 people tent have a very little elbow room and storage place for the gear, so 4 people tent is more comfortable and recommended for 2 people accommodation. As a rule-of-thumb that has the capacity for 2-people higher than the number that will be using it in actual scenario.
• Some tents are large ,heavy and hard to assemble, for beginners such tent may not be the right choice .The beginners should choose relatively inexpensive and light weight tent to test that the either camping is suitable recreational activity for them or not .
• The poles of the tent should be made up of aluminum material which is more safe and sound. These poles can stay long .
• An adequate rainfall is important for a tent because it acts like an umbrella ,so make sure that the fly should come well down the sides of the tent rather than just across the Top. Rainfall is waterproof and the walls are water-repellant.
• A tent should be stitched well from either sides ,weak stitches can become the cause of leakage, so be sure that the seam sealer is used on all seams.
• The floor of the tent should be made by a waterproof material to avoid any risk of water seeping and it should come a few inches up the sides before stitching with the walls.
• A tent should have adequate guy-lines .Tents usually have loops near the middle portion and these loops are attached with the guy-lines for pulling out the walls tightly becuase no one can sleep in a tent flapping in the wind.
• A tent should have proper loops in all corners and centre of every side, these loops should be big enough which can easily accommodate the large plastic stakes .Material stakes are more recommended because plastic one might break while u hammer in the stake.
• The best material to keep the nasty bugs away from your tent is no seem meshing.
• A tent with roof vent can help to circulate air and eliminate condensation inside your tent.
• Tent should have heavy zippers for the frequent use to in and out.
When u come back from your camping trip, set your tent up in the yard and air it out it will prevent it to mold. Preserve it loosely in a ventilated area and just pack in the stuff sack when you move to or from the camping tour.
